Collaged entirely out of samples, Pretty Bird (2003) filters “old, weird folk” through many other kinds of music, allowing the combined material to create new, additional narratives and be heard in new contexts. Many of the pieces have a home-made, rustic quality to them, filled with intentional imperfections and mistakes.
