these pieces are inspired in part by the films of bill viola. several were recorded in real time and are now heard in slow-motion. as a result, the listener gets to experience both rhythmic imperfections and a rich sound world that would be missed in real time. each piece is a kind of reflection on beginnings and endings, birth and death, sex, and other human basics (total time: 31:15)

tracks:
1. birth and the winds are getting stronger (5:44) [mp3]
2. cain's mark (4:31)

4. the church parking lot (4:19)
5. dido's lament (4:44)
6. happy music for an unhappy man (5:21) [mp3]
