Third in a series of collaborations with video artists mccallum and tarry, which is part of their solo show at Caren Golden Fine Art gallery in new york city. In this installation, mccallum and tarry give each other a blood transfusion, referencing “one drop” rules, race, and identity. Sounds used include recordings of civil rights struggles in the 1960s and ex-slave interviews to evoke historic and emotional remembrance. for more information, visit m&t's website.
